Refund policy

This policy describes how refunds and cancellations work for paid subscriptions to Threadmodo, operated by Acots Corporation ("we", "us"). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this policy together with our Terms of service.

1. Free plan

The Free tier does not require payment. No refunds apply because no fees are charged for use within the Free limits.

2. Pro subscriptions (self-serve)

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on the cycle you select (for example, monthly). Charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, because the service is delivered continuously during that period.

We may issue a refund or credit where:

  • We confirm a duplicate charge or a processing error caused by us or our payment provider.
  • Required by applicable law in your jurisdiction (for example certain consumer rights for digital services).
  • We agree in writing (including email) to a good-faith exception, such as a documented outage that materially prevented use of the product for an extended period.

3. Cancellations

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your workspace billing area or through the customer portal Stripe provides. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current period unless a refund is granted under Section 2.

After cancellation, you typically retain access through the end of the paid period already invoiced, unless your account is terminated for breach of the Terms of service.

4. Enterprise & custom agreements

Enterprise or custom contracts may specify different refund, credit, or termination terms. Those terms in your signed order form or agreement take precedence over this policy when they conflict.

5. How to request a review

Email support@threadmodo.com with the subject line "Refund request", your workspace or account email, and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days. If we approve a refund, it is typically returned to the original payment method via Stripe; timing may depend on your bank or card issuer.

6. Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback, we may suspend access until the dispute is resolved. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve billing questions without unnecessary disputes.
